Damien is a documentary, travel and street photographer from London living in Bristol. His street and travel photography are a representation of time and place which play on his fascination with reflections, light & shadow. His documentary work is driven by lost aspects of society and suburban isolation.
After graduating from a film degree in the mid 2010s Damien spent the first few years building up through the camera department until he reached focus pulling on commercials. Then switching to lighting he has a career as a Gaffer, best boy & lighting technician working on feature films and high end tv dramas.
In 2018 Damien picked up a 35mm camera again after many years since his schooling in photography from A-level and a stint at UCA as an undergrad photography student, which both lucky enough had a darkroom. Since then Damien has honed his photographic aesthetic and included many formats including medium format, digital and 5x4 large format.
Currently he is working on two ongoing projects documenting the Abandoned Structures on the margins of society and a project exploring Suburban Isolation. Damien is also working through an exploratory stage melding his 5x4 camera with multiple experimental darkroom techniques.
